Standard Beams

American standard beams, or S beams, are widely used in general construction. Bent at a right angle, these beams also have tapered flanges that offer superior strength over other steel beams like H beams, or wide flange beams.

We currently have a variety of strong, high-quality beam metal available in a wide range of dimensions (see below). We are also stocked with I beams, a type of standard beam with tapered flanges that slope away from the inner surface.

Uses and applications for standard beams vary from home and building construction, to truck bed frames, hoists, lifts, and so much more. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have to ensure you secure the right steel, in the appropriate dimensions, for your project. We’re always ready to help.
